Road so Far
So, when I was about 12 weeks along, I ended up moving out of state with my fiance. We now live in Arkansas but boy has it been hell. When I moved, I was on Florida Medicaid and then we moved to Texas because I have family there but I knew we might be moving to Arkansas soon so I spent about 8 weeks there without Medicaid and no OB. Then when I finally moved to Arkansas, it took until mid of January this year to get Medicaid so I didn't see a new doctor until practically the end of January when I was about 24 weeks already or so. Even then it wasn't an actual OB, it was a nurse practioner at my local health clinic where they offer maternity services. About week 26 or 27 I was diagnosed as a Gestational Diabetic just to be on the safe side even though my sugars have stayed in the clear since then. I ended up in the hospital once due to a possible kidney infection and I was really dehydrated. Now I'm 35 weeks and 3 days and just now have an appointment with an OB in 2 weeks and almost 2 weeks after that, I should be having this baby. When you feel it's impossible, it's not. Us woman are made for these experiences. We are made to handle much worse. But I can completely say, I am so ready to welcome mine and my husband's beautiful daughter into this world. Only 4 and a half more weeks to go if I go to my due date. I'll post my birth story as soon as I have one to post !(:
