When did you transition your bub to a toddler bed?

Hi ladies, my daughter is only twelve months old and I imagine it will be some time until she’s in a toddler bed, but I really have no clue when they usually transition from crib to toddler bed. Ideally I’d like to have baby #2 once my daughter is in a toddler bed to save money on another crib lol. So when did y’all transition to a bed?

My 20 month old has been in hers for about 6-8 months. She kept getting her leg stuck in the crib bar so we converted it into a toddler bed to see how she did. She did great the 1st night

My SIL transitioned my niece into a toddler bed when she started trying to climb out of her crib.

We got our son into a toddler bed at 16 months, because his sister was due a month later and we also didn’t want to buy a second crib. He’s a very easygoing and adaptable kid, so the transition was pretty smooth. He’s now 18 months and stays in his bed all night.

My 2.5 year old is still in her crib. I have no plans to change anytime soon unless she starts climbing out. She actually likes her crib.

I have a 2.5 year old son and he's still in his crib and I think we'll have him sleeping in there till he's fully potty trained. so if he has to go in the night that he can get out of bed. and I don't we'll have a problem getting him use to a toddler bed. He's always been easy to get use to new and different things.

My son was about 20 months when we moved him to a twin bed and we had no problem with it. When your child starts climbing out of the crib that's when you should transition to a bed or if they get too big for a crib

At 19 months after she started crawling out of the crib. She never gave us any problems with the transition.  the few times she's gotten up I tell her to go back to bed and I tuck her back in.

We tried at 1 year and 18 months, didn’t work. At 22 months she finally stays in bed
