Refuses to talk anymore!!??

My daughter said her first word, “hi!” at about ten months, complete with waving...now she won’t say it anymore! She’ll wave but not speak, and no more words on the horizon (she’s 12 months now.) what gives...
She babbles a helluva lot tho.

My son is 3 and I just now got him into speech therapy I didn't know this but they have speech therapy for 12 month old My speech therapist told me the younger the better cuz then I can get them on the right track. Everybody kept telling me that my son would talk at his own time and he never did! I just wish I would have got him into speech therapy a lot sooner.

At 10- 11 months my daughter was saying mama, dada, bye bye, baba, papa. She doesn’t say any of them anymore and she’ll be 1 in 2 weeks. She would wave bye bye. Now she just points.

My daughter was constantly saying certain sounds and then got new sounds and stopped the old ones. Now she’s putting them together. I think it’s normal.
