Nervous about trying Clomid, need support and advice

So my husband and I have been TTC for 4 years. We have a 14 year age gap, him being older. My fertility doctor prescribed me Clomid over a year ago but I was too anxious about taking it bc of side effects and wanted to lose weight. A year later I gained 30lbs. Since my husband is getting older (he’ll be 42) I don’t want to keep putting off potentially getting pregnant on Clomid. So next week I’ll call my fertility doctor and tell her I’m ready although I gained a lot of weight since the last we spoke. We have unexplained infertility however my LP is a little longer than normal but doc said that should not cause issues, so she diagnosed us with unexplained infertility.

What’s are the chances of us getting pregnant?

Anyone else try Clomid while obese?

Side effects?

Please share any advice as well.
