Rant / IUI post. Just need to get this off my chest.

Early last week my husband found out we will be moving again in about 45-60 days for him to start a new career path which I'm very excited for him to begin. We have been in limbo for his review for months and now we have some direction. But. ... There's always a but.

See, we moved here to a fairly large city last summer. I got a job, and hubs and I started getting tested, poked and prodded over the course of about three months to find out what our deal with our infertility is (trying naturally on our own over 2 years, nothing. Not a single positive test ever.)

We were finally given the green light at the end of January this year to try IUI after my HSG came back fine. First IUI with clomid and trigger failed. Got delayed on our second IUI cycle due to cysts. Finally got the green light to try Round two IUI in March with Letrozole and trigger; failed again.

So AF came April 7 after round 2 so I called the clinic to schedule my 3rd IUI baseline appointment. THEY ARE NOT TAKING IUI PATIENTS UNTIL MAY 15. What?

So I begged a doctor to call me back because it's unfair that I'm finally on a roll and I'm leaving this city so soon and for the remainder of time that I'm here I could potentially have one or even TWO more IUIs done at no cost (military base with good benefits), but now we can't do anything but try again on our own until we move and I'm able to figure out if there is even a fertility clinic anywhere remotely near where we will be moving (much smaller city).

I'm feeling so down and was getting so hopeful. They DID ok me to take Letrozole again this cycle and I just finished my 5mg/day from CD 4-8 this morning. I'm just so bummed that we will need to postpone our IUIs for at least 3 or 4 months at the earliest when we have already been trying for about 2 and a half years now and are in our 30s.

I'm just kinda mad that they didn't tell me the clinic was cancelling all IUI cycles for so long because they are focusing on their IVF clientele (more money for them!!) right now. Had I known, I would have done research to see if I could have had my records transferred to a different clinic in the city and see if they accept our medical insurance. 😕
