Things happen for a reason

Today I had an appointment with my ob for a check, I’m 21.2 weeks. He says all looks good, heart rate was 146. But I was thinking after about what day I actually conceived.

Some history, We had been told in November that they would refer us to a fertility specialist in January if we didn’t get pregnant on our own. I started looking at the rules of the specialist and thought that I would enjoy December since my life would literally be all about getting pregnant. I drank almost every night I was off work, I got a tattoo, I didn’t follow any rules but did what I wanted. We had been trying for 16 months with an ectopic but no successful pregnancy.

I was due with my ectopic around December 5. I conceived my current baby around December 2. Sometimes things happen for a reason. It was sad to think about but I couldn’t be happier now.
