quick labor

I was told I would be called on the 16th at 8 pm to see if any beds were available. Well I got a call that they would call us back when a room became available. At 630 am I called to see what was going on or what would be the next steps, I was told we would move on to the next days list. I tell family bf goes and gets some stuff we had been working on (plants to finish our backyard) and I get a call ask where I am... um I thought i was rolling into the next day, well we have a bed available if you are ready. I fly to the hospital since it's 30 minutes away, get everything set in a room they check me and start my on cytotec since I'm at a 2. I never asked how effaced I was. Family leaves I tell them all call them when they break my water or start pitocin. I take a nap (seriously you want to try to nap for this part!). Dr comes in at 245 and breaks my water, contractions are almost immediate, but tolerable. I call bf and family and tell them contractions started almost immediately and are 2 to 3 minutes apart. everyone comes back and they keep coming and checking me and I'm at 4 then a 5. then I ask for the epidural the pain gets to intense to quickly. I think I have to push the doctor comes in to do my epidural and I have 5 quick intense contractions and I know I need to push. with every contraction I'm starting to push involuntary. they check me I'm at a 10. and station 2. everyone comes running in and I push about 6 times the epidural kicks in as the doctor is doing stiches after I should have asked for ibuprofen right away, instead I waited and oh my poor Vagina! ! baby is well and so am I minus that part. I never got pitocin so it was good. good luck everyone waiting
