I’m not in one currently but I spent a longggg time in a toxic relationship. It can be really hard to let go, to get out of that routine, and to be alone. I didn’t know that I could function without this person and I thought for sure that I would never find anyone who wanted to be with me. But, it’s so important to realize how much better off you’d be without the daily stress and bullshit that comes with being in a toxic relationship. Once you start to realize that you’re better off without this person, it’s easier to remove yourself from the situation and let go. You deserve happiness and a healthy relationship (in the future, once you’ve healed) ☺️💕

I spent 5 years in a very abusive, toxic relationship, he cheated on me, then he blamed me, called me names, told me and made me feel very worthless, and it’s a very exhausting cycle. Crazy thing is, I thought this was normal. First long term relationship. I thought we were madly in love. I thought this was how I deserved to be treated. 
We have a 10 month old daughter, and I’m still trying to cut ties. I left but he supports us financially because I wasn’t “aloud” to work, and now I’m having such a hard time to find a job and babysitter. And I basically cut everyone out of my life, for him. So I don’t really have anyone. And I’m trying so hard to get rid of this filth of a person. 
You should seriously just get out while you can. Leave. Ghost him. Do whatever you need to get out! Do whatever it takes... before you’re stuck with them for life.

I was in one for a long time. Even after we broke up it was a year and a half of mind games and maybes but really it was that i was always available. So he’d text me after bar close and I’d come running. Then I’d be devastated because we wouldn’t get back together. It was 2 1/2 years. I’ll never do that to myself again. I’ll never let someone use me that way again. And I suggest no one else does either. You’re worth so much more than manipulation.

I was with a guy who was really toxic for 9 months, mentally/emotionally abused me every single day.. I had no clue why I stayed. Waited a year to be in a relationship again & he cheated on me...left him the moment I found out. Not sure if that’s toxic or not, it felt like it at the time, it’s been almost 11 months since & I’m focusing on myself. Apparently relationships and i don’t get along, which is sad since I want to get married and have kids, I now just recently started telling myself, family & friends that I don’t want to get married or anything anymore.

Nothing is wrong with you, the relationship between you and your other is very 'familiar' to you due to your upbringing and so therefore it feels 'right' but it's not the right relationship for you, it's a dysfunctional relationship which is wrong for every / any one! Feeling 'familiar' is not right it's just 'familiar'

I spent 2 years in a mentally abusing, toxic relationship. Seriously, I thought I was in love with this dude. He accused me of cheating when I told him I got sexually assaulted. He ignored me for a day, and the next I messaged him asking if he really thought I cheated on him, he said yes. I just blew up on him, called him an asshole, called him a mentally abusing cunt who doesn’t deserve love, and telling him if he ever wanted a long lasting relationship with a girl, he needs to change himself. Then I just... broke up with him 🤷‍♀️ He didn’t care at all, just went around telling all his friends I cheated and waited to tell him for 2 weeks (I told him the day after it happened).
