Parents, would you be mad?

If you told your 18 to 19 year old that you didn’t want anymore animals in the house but they brought one home anyways but they did it because the dog was being abused and mistreated and they wanted to save them would you be mad? Ps your child usually takes care of the other pets in the house and is known to be very responsible.

I would be. Save the animal but you don’t have to bring it home, or at least call and explain the situation to me. It would also depend on how many animals we already have. I don’t want a damn zoo for a house.

I would but mostly because I’m super allergic. I think it’s really great that they are saving an animal from a bad situation but I’d be asking to have it re-homed to someone that can love and care for it.

yeah, I'd be annoyed a bit, but the kid absolutely  did the right thing. but I'd try to have the animal rehomed. if they're willing to put in the work of caring for this dog, and they've proven themselves, I'd let them. responsibility is something built over time

I would because it's disrespectful to disobey your parents... I don't give a fuck, the animal wouldn't be allowed to stay. Get your own house if you want to be an animal rescue.
There are safe places you can bring animals like that.

I mean, I’m sure I’d be a little frustrated at first but I’d get over it. He did a good thing. Now the trick here is, he needs to continue taking care of this animal since he’s the one who decided to rescue it. He should be paying for the veterinary care, food, dog bowl, bed, etc. When he moves out, the dog should go too. He’s old enough that he should be the one responsible for the dog. I begged my parents for a dog when I was 14, I told them I would take care of him and keep him forever.....he’s 12 now living with my husband and I. He’s even moved long distances with us twice! 💜☺️

Yes I would be mad that they didn’t respect me and I am a dog lover. I have 5 dogs in my house already. They should of called and explained the situation and we would of worked something out
