What can I do?

My ears infected. It comes and goes from swelling up to being normal. I’ve almost come to the point of taking it out because it hurts. I don’t want to take it out though because I paid for it with my own money. What can I do to take care of it and make sure it’s not infected. I’ve also had it for 10 months.

*sometimes there is puss and right now I can’t move it at all*

Talk to your doctor. I'd avoid taking it out unless the dr wants you to..it can trap in infection.

You could try antibiotics to help squash any infection but your body is most likely rejecting it. If the antibiotics work, when the infection is gone you can go back to youe piercer and ask them to put in better jewelry, my nose piercing was the same way and it didn’t get better until I found the right hoop. Also, I’m not sure if it would work but would you be able to get a hoop for that piercing? A lot of times bars can’t move enough to move bacteria in and out of the piercing and it can lead to infection as the bacteria festers.

Clean it with non scented antibacterial soap and go ask your piercer to put a higher grade jewelry in it

First thing you should do is go back to your piercer and ask their advice, second you should see a doctor for antibiotics. If you take it out while it is infected the infection can get trapped and become worse. I also think you should clean it with clear antibacterial soap at least 3 times a day.
