18 month old and hitting!

When my daughter gets mad she will try to hit me! She just cried for my phone and I took it away and she literally slapped me in my face she always try's to hit when she don't get her way, and she has an older brother he's 8 but he's the complete opposite he's very sentive and don't hit nor is he rough, she's the complete opposite! She's very volient and mean she will even throw stuff when she gets mad phone remote anything in her hand at the time.
