“Such a good daddy” ?!

Someone please tell me why men get compliments...”oh he is such s good Daddy”... he damn well better be! My husband is amazing, I know he is. But why do men get compliments like that?! I don’t ever get, “oh you are such a good mommy” just for changing a diaper or feeding the baby...but he sure does! WTH?! Just a rant...🤣 like they are doing something above and beyond but really it’s exactly what the Mom does every hour of every day. Seriously.

Sexism. My husbands coworkers couldn't believe that my husband had to come home from work and watch our daughter for a couple hours while I was in class 🙄. Poor thing, a couple of hours lol. Seriously though, a man could change a diaper and be praised for being a good dad. A mom will cook, clean, stay up all night with her babies, etccc and get criticized because of something stupid like a runny nose.

Male privilege and sexism in our gender biased society make these things all too common. More men need to acknowledge their privilege and step off the pedestal that society puts them on.

Because as moms it's our 'job' to all the baby things, dads work. So when they do something like diapers, laundry, feed the babe, etc they are seen as going above and beyond. 
This is my take on it anyway. Everyone always said that about my ex husband and it made me so mad cause he would never do those things at home! Hubby has assured me over and over that it's not going to like that with our babe.
