Short protocol ivf??? Any info??

I’m due to start ivf ok my next cycle. It will be a short protocol. Does anyone have any information about this and what to expect? Timescales/timeline etc. Thank you

My short cycle went as follows: got my period.. called for my baseline scan which was cycle day 2. After that scan I got the go ahead to start my injections which i took for 8 days (also had a scan after 8 days of injections). I was then ready for trigger shot and had my egg collection about 2 days later. 
It was all very fast I would say by cycle day 12 I was all done!
The transfer would have been 3-5 days after my egg collection

Hiya, I've just started the short cycle. It may vary for different women but I started medication on CD 21 for 10 days. I'm due to start taking FSH injections for another 10 days alongside the stims. During that time you'll have scans to check your ovaries. You'll be given a date and time to take your trigger shot before going in for egg collection. 3-5 days later you'll have the transfer before the dreaded two week wait begins. All in all, it's about an 8-10 week process. Good luck. X

Thank you. I’ve got my information sharing session next week. I briefly spoke to the nurse this morning to arrange my injection training and she mentioned that I’m on a short protocol, but I won’t start taking any meds or having scans until about cycle day 3. Then I’m booked in for retrieval 2 weeks later. I was just confused as it’s different to everything I’ve read about ivf. Fingers crossed and baby dust to you 🤞
