For the unwanted child: a gift from God

They say children are a gift from

God.

Even Jesus himself said let the

little children come to me.

That is how special children are.

The day a baby is born a new

bond is created between mother,

A father , and the child.

The new parents craddle the

newborn and hold it tightly.

They provide love and warmth.

In the child’s ear they whisper

their hopes and dreams.

The day is life changing.

Maybe in a perfect world but not in mine.

What if a child is brought into the world

unwanted?

The father refuses the child and claims

it is not his.

The mother is left on her own to carry

the burden of a newborn baby all on her own.

The gift of a child is now a curse to both parents

Whispers of hopes and dreams turn into silence.

The love has become cold.

As a matter of fact there is no love anymore.

Instead all the child hears even from the womb is that she is unwanted

The child often thinks if my own parents did not want me

or even love me

How will anybody ever do the same?
