ovarian cyst

I was 6 days late and thought I was pregnant. but I went to my gynecologist and happen to found out that I had an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. it's quite large and my doc suggested me to undergo a laparoscopy.....what decision should I take. whether to undergo a medical treatment or operations or laparoscopy. my doctor says all the treatment depends on your opinion. though he says laparoscopy would be the fastest way to cure. but I'd be please if anyone of you could suggest me something to make up my mind
