If your baby/toddler’s grandparents live pretty close to you, how many times a week do you let them see your child??
My daughter is almost 11 months old and my Fiancé mom is a first time grandma. She lives about 20 minutes away and my mom lives about 10 minutes. My fiancé mom is VERY obsessive about my daughter. In a way I feel like she wishes/tries to be my daughters mom. I let her take my daughter once a week for about 6 hours. But that isn’t enough for her... she asks to see her every other day or she makes up stupid excuses to come over or she just stops by unexpectedly. I use to love her so much but she has really been pushing my buttons and I am pretty bitter about the situation now. It’s really eating me up inside because I feel like it’s fair to let each grandma see my daughter once a week (unless I ask them for help any other days). But I really love the quality time with my daughter and think it’s much needed right now. Especially since she is learning so many new things right now and is about to walk, I don’t want to miss much. I send her grandma pictures and videos everyday so I try to keep her involved but I don’t think it’s necessary for her to see her two or three times a week....
I probably am over reacting but I don’t know what else to do. Just need some advice because my fiancé doesn’t understand. He says his mom is nuts and there is nothing we can do about it.
