Exclusively Pumping

So I have 3 children none of which I breastfed but I am considering breastfeeding with the child I’m now pregnant with. My question is, has anyone exclusively pumped & been successful? How often did you have to pump? I’m employed at a child care center & am blessed to have the director/owner/boss that I do because I told her today (6/6.5 weeks along) that I’m expecting & considering breastfeeding & she’s already put me down for a spot in baby room for the baby when I return from leave & said if I choose to breastfeed I can pump as needed & she’ll relieve me to do so when I need to. Also how do you travel on outings, etc with breast milk in bottles? Insulated bags or what? & do you have any tricks for someone like me who prefers if I breastfeed in public that I do it as discreetly as possible? (I support breastfeeding whole heartedly, just personal preference if baby will agree to cover lol) I’ve been looking at tops all day & now I’m overwhelmed. Thanks in advance!

Also can you pump prior to labor/delivery in order to start up supply so it’s in by the time the baby’s born? I mean obviously discuss that with my dr but is that a thing even worth discussing?

Please be gentle with me as breastfeeding is all new to me & im already still on the fence about it.
