sleep question

10 week old lays there awake for sometimes up to an hour before crying out for me. how is she supposed to learne that night time is for sleeping if she just lays there while I’m waiting for her to be upset?

Edit: sleeps great during day - up to three hours, awake anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours depending on what we are doing. nightime is what I mean. dr said to feed and. Get baby only when really crying but she just ends up laying there for a long time first and I’m just not supposed to get her?
