honest question! what is emotional abuse?

how do you know if your in a emotionally abusive relationship? he's never put his hands on me, put me down or has yelled at me but I have so many restrictions, everyone tells me he has me emotionally controlled and its considered abuse. I've been with him so long I never noticed the restrictions I had till others pointed them out.

-I can't speak to Male friend

-I'm not allowed to go out without him, unless I'm taking the kids

-I not allowed to go out with my female friends unless the kids are coming

-He takes me everywhere and picks me up

-He doesn't allow me to work or go back to school, he says why leave the kids in childcare when I can do online school

-Hes not big on hearing my opinions about things, it puts him in a "bad mood"

nothing I looked at like a big deal but i guess looking in it looks bad 🤷‍♀️
