Boyfriend having financial problems
Hey ladies,
I've been on vacation for a month and as a result I've been in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend of almost two years. During the entirety of our relationship he hasn't been very good with his spending but it has been okay, it's manageable. His problem is that when he has his eye set on something, he buys it immediately or as soon as he's able to get his hands on it. He is impatient and tires out of his belongings very quickly.
Anyways, he told me that he's managed to spend $3000 on his credit card just this month. When I confronted him about it he got very defensive and shut me down. This is a man I want to get an apartment with when we both finish college in a year or two, and open a shared bank account with. How am I able to do that when he can't even keep his paycheck in his chequing account for longer than a week? Any advice ladies? I just can't see myself committing to him if he doesn't have his life together financially.
Also he is almost 4 years older than me and I barely touch my money in my bank account unless I need to pay off my credit card bill or pay for my tuition. and please don't say anything like "maybe he's cheating on you or spending it on another girl", I know that isn't true so I'd just like advice on how to deal with him.
