New to dating advice

Hey ladies, it’s been awhile since I’ve dated. I met someone I actually like and have been dating him for a few weeks, we’ve been intimate and we really enjoy each other. His birthday is on Sunday and I’d like to get him something thoughtful yet small since it’s so new. He mentioned he loves carrot cake with cream cheese frosting lol. So I was thinking about getting him a cupcake like that, maybe put a candle in it? Lol idk. Is it too much or too little?! Let me know!
