4th IUI or IVF?

So I was given two options, 4th IUI or IVF? If I do a 4th IUI, they will up my follitism shots from 1 day to 3 days. We are paying everything out of pocket so it's a hard decision. Recommendations or advice?

All I took was clomid for my IUI but we have unexplained infertility. I didn’t start follistim until we did IVF. I got my own insurance to help cover the costs of IVF since my previous one didn’t cover it. I’d look into that at least if that’s an option. It’s still been expensive for us (about $8000) per IVF cycle but I’m sure it’s way less than without insurance. We did 5 IUI and then started with IVF but I’m thinking I would have just rather started with IVF since this has been a long journey and still going. Just have to think what’s best for you guys .

We were in the same boat. Unexplained infertility. Still no answers, however we just finished our egg retrieval. IVF also has a lot of diagnostic qualities. We have to meet with our doctor to go over the final labs, but we’re hoping he’ll have more answers for us. We will be doing frozen transfer w/ 1 embaby each. IVF is a lot more expensive, but when you factor in all the supplements, medicines, other testing, and the cost itself - it didn’t seem worth it for us to continue IUI, we’d already paid several thousand. Our doctor said we should have been pregnant too, IVF has higher success rates so we went with that. It’s all stressful and infertility sucks. 
If this round doesn’t work we’ll take a break look at more wholistic routes (facility that does wholistic fertility treatments) - chiropractor, acupuncture, continued supplements, being healthy in general, they look at infertility as a disease and try to find the reason instead of going straight to IUI and IVF.

We did 5 IUIs all unsuccessful, also unexplained infertility. Our doctor gave us 8-10% chance each time. We did ivf and chances raised to 50% and got pregnant first transfer. I believe somewhere online there is a website where you can put in i our stats, age/diagnosis and it gives you a success rate.

We dis 6 IUIs total. 5 failed, 1 successful but ended in a miscarriage dur to genetic abnormalities at 9 weeks. We took out a loan for IVF. Our clinicc was slighy more expwnsive being peivate but had the best success rates in our state and was an amazing clinic. We dis a fresh transfer after the retrival (I grew 26 eggs, 16 fertilizes, 10 were normal genetically) and the fresh didn't work. Did our frozen transfer about 6 weeks later and I am now 15 weeks pregnant. I wish we would have done IVF sooner but it is what it is. We have a low interest rate loan and a perfect healthy baby growing. We had to buckle down in some financal aspects but we don't make crazy amounts of money and live in one if the most expensive areas if the USA and we are making the payments work fine.
