Do you get called upon in math class at college?

I have math anxiety and I’m just wondering do professors in college call their students to the board like teachers do in high school?

not in my experience but thats how i was in school too it was so bad i dropped out in 6th grade went back for 7th dropped out 8th. then went into foster home for 9th so i was forced to go up until junior year. so when i was 16 i got my ged. i tried to go to college for a while but school just isnt my thing. the teacher never called on me though i hope the same for you

Nope. All my math classes in college were too big for the professors to call on individual people

My chemistry professor would call on students randomly to do chem math problems. Some professors like to make sure that all students participate so to avoid favorites they rotate through names on a stack of note cards. I would just always be prepared...

As someone with social anxiety, i understand your fear.
I’ve taken two college math classes. Quantitative literacy and Stats 101. I’ve never been called to answer a question on the board. All questions have always, in all classes, been open questions that anyone in the class can answer or they’re rhetorical and the teacher answers them himself. 
I’ve also sat in a Calculus 3 class where they were discussing 3rd and 4th dimensions and he did the same as the others.
