Good age gap between children and why? (Pros and cons pls)

Question

We just had our first and I'm defiantly going on birth control at my 6 week check up, personally I want to start trying for our second around the time our first is a year. It took us 8 months to conceive but I heard being on the pill then going off it tends to be fast to conceive. Please give the pros and cons of having each age gap between children, I know this is a personal decision just looking for some input on experiences and stuff you moms have had ☺

I don’t have kids, but my husband and his brothers are like 2.5 years apart, and grew up close and love it. All the cousins are close in age too. My family has larger gaps between siblings and cousins, my sister and I are 6 years apart. My cousins are in their 30’s and 40’s and I’m 23 lol. I hate it, so I think it’s better to be closer !

I don’t have kids but I voted 1-2 years because my parents had 6 kids and were all 15 months apart and growing up we always had someone to play with and now that we’re older were best friends. I wouldn’t want it any other way! 😊

I think under 18 months or over 3 years. Just my experience but I think there can be a lot of regression with the older sibling at 2 years right when they are just emerging with new skills they revert back to baby. 
After 3 they really start to spend more time on their own.

My son just turned 9 months this past week and Ill be 8 weeks pregnant on monday. Wouldnt have it any other way. We wanted a second within 2 years anyways because i can not imagine having to start all over if my son was over 3.

My son is 5, my daughter is 3, and I’m 19 weeks with my third baby. My first two kiddos are 18 months apart which I love because of how close they are. My youngest will be 4 when this baby is born. I like that we waited a couple of years before conceiving this baby since 3 under 4 would have been a lot of work. I want 4 children in total and after this baby is born we will quickly try to have another so they are close like my first two💕 
I’m a twin and have a younger sister 3 years younger so I like kiddos close in age. But sometimes it doesn’t always work that way and you have to work with what you have 💕

My daughter will be 2 in October and I have a 4 & 1/2 month old son so that’s a 17 month age gap and to be honest it’s a struggle every day. I’m sure every stage has its struggles but my son had colic and has eczema and is super clingy and my daughter talks a lot but can’t communicate everything just yet. She’s pretty independent for her age, which is great cause my son doesn’t really leave much time for me to spend with my daughter since he always wants to be carried. It’s exhausting all day I’m pulled in different directions. I’m lucky if I get to have breakfast before noon. With all this said I’m still unsure if a bigger age gap would be better. I definitely want a 3 and can’t decide if we should once again keep a tiny age gap or wait like 3 yrs. Not sure if this is any help but this decision is so tough. I hope you can decide what’s best for your family!

1-2 years, my siblings and I are all at least 4.5 years to 15 years apart and we fought like cats and dogs growing up and my youngest brother and I get along but you can’t relate with a 10 year old yanno? He’s basically an only child.

My kids are 3 months short of being 10 years apart. We got pregnant when my son was 8 but had a miscarriage and waited a little bit before trying again. They age difference is big but he is such a big help to me and he is already so protective of his little sister. I couldn’t see it any other way.

My fist is 11, second is almost 5, and last one is 2 weeks old. 
The big age gaps were not planned, we were trying again when both were 2 it just took us forever to get pregnant after the first. 
But the age gaps are a blessing, the oldest likes to help and is great at helping the 4 year old. The 4 year old wants to be a little mommy to the baby and is really into all that I do with the baby. It’s great, plus I feel like I had the time to focus on each kid through the most intense time - infant- toddler hood without feeling like one was loosing out.
