Baby Needs Surgery! Advice Please!
My 10 month old 8.5 adjusted baby girl needs surgery đ
She was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea so we went to the ENT today and he took one look in her mouth and was like âWOW yea she definitely needs to have this correctedâ. Her adenoids and tonsils are both severely enlarged. He wants to remove her adenoids and remove just a small part of her tonsils. If the tonsils are still and issue in 9 months we will have them totally removed as well. He would do a total removal in a bigger child but her being only 18lbs runs a risk of her tonsils bleeding too much when removed. Iâm just very nervous. Sheâs so little, but her apnea is so so bad. Around 6.5 pauses in breathing/destats an hour. Weâre up 15+ times a night with her. Everyone in the house is running on fumes. Poor baby girl only sleeps 7 hours of broken sleep a night. I know it needs to be done but I just hate it. Anybody been through something similar? Positive outcomes?
