I find it weird when people get mad for new fans of k-pop

I have a friend on FB that LOOOVVEES K-pop music. Don’t get me wrong, it’s catchy and stuff, but she was going on to rant about how people are now taking notice here in America and it’s becoming popular here too and now new fans are not really fans at all because they don’t know how hard they work and blah blah .. she acts like she is the only one that likes that music genre 🤨 does she not realize that at one point she was a new fan of the music too?

I just don’t get it and I’m so lost
