What should I do?

I am going to try and keep this short so I'm gonna leave out some details.

Basically I had an abusive boyfriend freshman and sophomore year. He was physically, emotionally, and sexually abusive. We stopped dating because he moved away to California.

Fast-forward to senior year I start dating this really sweet nerdy guy. He was the exact opposite of the abusive guy. We have hard time like any couple but we would always get through it together because we loved each other.

When we were dating for almost 2 years I found out he had been messaging another girl. He lied about it and i believed him even though the girls on glow told me he was cheating but a week later I found more messages and I knew he was cheating.

The messages were in groups with her other friends. It had 4+ hour long skype calls.

It also had messages saying stuff like "what are you doing up so late darling".. "awe no cute emojis next to my name"... "my love"... "you are so beautiful" ect.

It hurts so bad. Idk how he can spend the day with me and tell me he loves me and then message another girl like that. What do you girls think I should do?

Should we try and work it out? Should I leave him? He was even 2 hours late on my birthday and there was a call from the night before for 4 hours.

P.S. I found out the girl lives in Honduras not America so it was definitely all online and over the phone not physical.

I keep wondering what is wrong with me? Why do all the guys I date do crap like this? Is it just a guy thing or do I just pick assholes?
