Struggling with weight loss

Hi girls,

I really need your support and encouragement. The post is a bit long so sorry in advance.

In December I found out I was pregnant so I quit smoking. By week 15 I had gained 3 kilos. I was 55 kilos at that time (already 6 kg over my ideal weight). I don’t know the weight gain was due to quitting or was it natural but i did not worry about it, I was happy my baby was growing . Then, at 15 weeks I miscarried. To be honest, i did not care about anything during that period and I began smoking again. Now I have decided to quit for my future baby because I will be cleared to ttc in October (after 7 months). I’ve been successful so far, not a single puff for two weeks and it’s getting easier and easier!

Now my concern is that i started dieting at the same time. I can’t afford gaining more weight due to quitting because I’ll gain a huge amount when I’m pregnant (I have a feeling I’ll be on bedrest the whole time). So I’m trying to lose as much as possible before I conceive. The thing is, I take 1000 calories a day (only healthy, nutritious food), I walk 8-10 km during evenings and I still can’t lose any weight! 2 weeks is more than enough to lose at least 1 kg. I’m terrified, discouraged and on a verge of ordering kfc hot wings.

I’m trying to remind myself that I’m doing great, quitting smoking and eating at the same time. I don’t want to give ip, i want to be proud (I already am for quitting) so I began intermittent fasting in addition to diet. I’m tracking everything, making sure I’m getting nutrients I need. But I’m panicking every time I stand on a scale because it just doesn’t budge!

I don’t have much time left until October cycle and that’s why I feel extra nervous. Could you please share any advice or encouraging words? Maybe you have been through something similar? I’m desperate. I had no idea weight loss would be so hard
