Afraid to tell my doctor I’m pregnant. Am I crazy? Please read!

I gave birth to my first baby March of this year. It was an uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery. My baby was full term and healthy. DH and I knew we wanted another soon, and bc it took us a year to conceive the first time, we started trying last month. Well it happened! My first is only 6months and I’m expecting again. My OB told me he recommended I wait at least a year, and that didn’t happen 🙃 now I’m afraid to see him and tell him I’m pregnant again!! Am I being silly? I’m a 27 year old adult and I’m afraid of my doctor! Lol

What can he do? Give you a spankin? No, lol you will be absolutely fine. The reason they say wait a year is to allow your body time to fully heal and relax with a little one. But many women do have babies back to back!

The medical recommendation is to wait a year. Unless you had a major medical reason to need to wait they are not going to care. Woman show up at their 6 week appointment pregnant again. 6 months is no big deal.

Hell be fine about it and probably won’t even remember what he told you. He’ll have plenty of people ignoring medical advice so it won’t be anything out of the ordinary for him

6 months isn't that bad. At least it's not 6 weeks lol.  Drs will always advise on the safe side.

It’s fine. They always recommend a year, I accidentally got pregnant with twins three months after an emergency c-section... still carries with no complications. My twins are now 11 months old and we just found out I’m pregnant again! So I get to face my OB next week... haha

My oldest was 6 months old when I got pregnant with my second, I love having them so close in age, they are great friends and sisters!
After my third (12 years later) I was afraid to tell my doctor I wasn’t going to get on BC 😄 he was very intimidating

Did he tell you to wait a year for medical reasons or why? He has nothing to do with your personal decisions. You're worrying for nothing. It's better to let your doctor know as soon as possible. Congrats!
