Can you paint a baby crib?

I have a white crib and want to know if I could use chalk paint to paint it another color. Opinions? Anyone done this? Or is this known to not be ok?

Yes! They actually make a crib paint. Not sure the name though. Or milk paint works too

You can get nursery paint. It can be quite expensive but if you want to paint anything baby related I'd advise you use it. (Not commenting from my own account, will not be replying to any comments left)

Most baby cribs are stained or painted anyway so I don’t see why not. You just don’t want baby chewing on the rails and swallowing wood chips so you might want to put some kind of rail covers on when they get old enough to pull themselves up.
