Embarrassing Smell

This is really embarrassing to ask but I'm current 3 days PP. I had to get 11 stitches and am currently healing, today I noticed that it has a real foul smell. I've been using my squirt bottle every time I pee and my sitz bath as advised. Is this normal? Just a healing thing? What can I do? Anyone else have this experience and it not be an infection or should I go to the doctor ASAP? I'm trying not to over react. Thank you in advance.
