Questions for Midwives and Doulas (not from a pregnant woman)

I'm kind of confused. I'm 15 so I have time to think but I'm a little confused still. If this is in the wrong group, please alert me so I can move it.

I've always wanted to go into the medical field, specifically to help pregnant women in labor and delivery, but I've faced a few issues.

I've thought about ob/gyn but realized that no, I wouldn't be a good fit for some of the things they do.

I've thought about delivery nurse but I'd rather assist in comfortable home settings than er scenes (yes, I know some women would have to go to the hospital if there are complications)

I've been thinking about doula or midwife, but I have a few questions:

What type of qualifications are needed?

Are there any agencies you need to go through?

Do you have to work in a hospital for some time beforehand?

What are the best and worst case scenarios I need to be informed about?

Thank you to those willing to answer my questions. Any other information is welcome.
