Husband possibly re-enlisting...

My husband served 2 years in the Army about 6 years ago. He had already been discharged (under honorable conditions) for about a year when we met. Fast forward to now, we’re married, have a 9 month old & he’s currently unemployed. He applied for a job with the National Guard as a military police officer & has a meeting with him on the 23rd to answer questions. My husband is a disabled veteran & receives VA benefits for being 70% disabled. The recruiter that called him back today said in order for them to even consider my husband he would have to get his disability dropped down to 30%. His VA benefits are our only source of income right now (I unfortunately had to quit my job today — boss was withholding my checks & abusive). My biggest concern is that my husband drops his disability down to 30% & he doesn’t get the job... then we’re pretty much screwed until him & I find something.

I’d you were my husband, would you take the risk? He wants to go back to the military so bad & this means a lot to him.
