I need your help

Guys. She would absolutely hate me if she knew I was asking, but could you please please send up some prayers, good thoughts, good juju, or whatever it is you do, for my mom? She’s really really sick. She went septic from peritonitis and she’s looking at possible surgery today to take out her whole colon. But I’m not sure she’s strong enough for it yet. Please.

She’s my best friend and she’s always taught me to rise above my circumstances, like she had to learn herself. I mean, look at how beautiful she is.

I’m a nursing student, I don’t get flustered about medical stuff. But I’m really scared. I saw her last night and she seemed stable, but I guess she got worse overnight.

Send up your good thoughts, juju, prayers, whatever that she’ll keep fighting and that she gets better and stronger. I may be 22 and married, And she might drive me crazy 60% of the time, but I still need my mama.

And I believe in the power of prayer. She needs it right now. So would you do that for me? Could you help me? Could you pray or send up good thoughts that she gets stronger? That she fights this? That the drs and nurses will catch any complications before they’re complications and save her? Please?

She’s been fighting diverticulitis since I was a baby. And it’s getting worse and worse. That’s what caused her peritonitis which caused her sepsis. And I think she’s tired of fighting.

She’s not done yet. There are so many things she needs to fight for. She has 7 other kids to see get married. She has 6 more kids to see graduate high school. She has grandchildren she has yet to meet. She has places she’s never been, things she hasn’t seen. She’s not done yet.

So please keep her in your thoughts, prayers, good juju, whatever. Because she has so many people that need her.

Her CT turned out good! No surgery today! Still having uncontrollable pain, even with dilaudid though. Please keep sending your good thoughts, prayers, etc.! I appreciate them more than I can put into words.

Pain is under control and they’re talking about discharge either tomorrow or Monday! She’s putting off the surgery (again) but the surgeon is comfortable letting her go home and to schedule the surgery in the next couple months. She’s of course pushing for discharge tomorrow.
