Favorite toys?

FTM this December.  I want to make sure I have enough toys for the first year.  I have some rattles, stuffed animals, soft blocks, soft books, sensory balls, and one of the stackable pyramids with the rings.  This doesn't count the seats and activity mat type of things.  I was just wondering what some of your favorite smaller toys were for the first year.

My son is almost 14 months and has always loved his “o-balls”, anything that lights up, anything he can shake. He loves his ball pit, anything he can chew on, and anything that belongs to his  dog sister

Teethers, my son isn’t teething yet but he loves chewing on this silicone teether that’s a taco. And it can be thrown in the dishwasher to disinfect. Not a toy but he also loves when I read him board books and the board books with fur/pop outs.

My son really didn’t play with much that first year.  I did buy on OBall Car toy though.  And a light up toy.
 
He didn’t recognize characters until around 15 months, so I wouldn’t bother with that either.
