He continues to chose the alcohol......

My son is coming up on 3 months old and I've been with his father for about a year and a half. Like many other stories everything started out beautifully. Or so I thought. Looking back now there were many red flags that I ignored. Once we found out I was pregnant I obviously stopped drinking and partying but he didn't. That's when I noticed just how much he was drinking. Since we have been together there has not been one day where he has been without a drink. He didn't have a job for a year and finally got one but it's not much. He also has another son who is 9 and only gets to see him 6 hours a week. (When we met he had him 5 days out of the week until she found out about me) but he can't do anything about it because he has no money to take her to court. Anyways while I was pregnant he would drink AT LEAST one bottle of wine a night but I didn't see him through out the day because we didn't live together and still don't. Now he has switched to vodka and drinks over a bottle a day. I still don't see him through out the day because he doesn't want to get together until night. I can tell he drinks all day and as soon as I see him he pours a vodka drink. I find empty bottles in his bags and in the garbage and what's scary is he drinks and drives with open containers, even with his other son in the car. I've talked to him many times about this now and he just gets pissed at me and goes off. We can't go one day without fighting and it gets nasty. He threatens to take my child away from me and calls me other awful names. It makes me so sad to see him like this because it's clear he is giving up and doesn't care about life anymore. His health is so bad that I'm scared he is going to die. Does anyone have any words of advice? By the way he's in his upper 30's
