We met online, then on Halloween

I’m going through a horrible stressful divorce. My soon to be ex husband has already taken off into the world of dating, if that shows you the type of guy he is.

I was lonely and just needing to talk to someone. If I could find anyone. Well HE found me. There was the click. An immediate connection. Same interests, we could talk for hours without it getting boring or turning each other off from one another. And for the first time in years I spent 3 hrs on the phone just talking and laughing. I haven’t let out a genuine laugh or put a genuine smile; made by a guy, on my face in over 3 years. If that tells you how miserable I’ve been.

So we met last night. Him, his son and family. Me, my daughter and mine. We went trick or treating. Flirted a little bit. Both were able to be goofy and laugh. We talked. Then when I got home we talked some more on the phone where we confessed how we were actually both nervous to see each other. It was great to know I wasn’t the only one.

I can honestly say, I hope he doesn’t take my smile away. It’s still really early but he’s already showing me just how amazing he is. Puts the piece of shit I was married to, to shame with how he treated me while together.

My mom met my step dad while going through her divorce and he changed her world from gloomy to rainbows and that’s all she wants for me ❤️
