I live in California in a city called Clovis. Here the weather is bad because up in the moutains there's fire going around & the air is just awful, but lately the air hasn't been that bad. Anyways this all started on Halloween night when my 4 year old daughter went out trick-or-treating with her Dad who is my husband. They were out for about 3 hours. They come home & my daughter is coughing up a storm. Now let me tell you during that time in the night the temperature was 69 to low 50's I would say. Now it's even colder, but anyways back to my story...so my daughter is coughing up a storm & when I heard how she sounded with her cough I'm thinking that she's going to get a cold. So I give her medicine along with her inhaler. My daughter has asthma but she only gets it bad when weather changes. I continue to give her medicine, her cough goes away within days then just barely this past Monday night (Nov. 5th), I hear her coughing in the middle of the night. It came back & this time it came back stronger. I go into my "Super Mommy" mode & I start giving her medicine & her inhaler. Well a few days go by & I'm noticing she's coughing more, she is drinking water more offten (She Doesn't Have A Fever), she has no appetite, when she coughs her face turns red, she shakes whenever she coughs, she's telling me that her throat is hurting & both of us is getting very little sleep. Her inhaler isn't working for her & the medicines that I give her arn't working neither so I take her to a hospital for kids that's called Valley Children's Hospital. This hospital is located in another city called Madera which is about 10 minutes away from the city I live in (Which Isn't Bad, It's All Freeway). I get to the hospital & I wait until we get called in. After waiting what it seemed like forever we finally get called in. I tell the nurse what's going on with my daughter. The nurse takes my daughter's temperature & tells me that she has a fever (It Was A Low Fever Of 100.2). The nurse tells me that the doctor will be right in. I wait for a while then the doctor comes in & does her doctor thing. When she hears my daughter's breathing, she looks at me & give me this worried look on her face. She then tells me that my daughter has a virus of Bacterial Infection. In other words it's called Asthmatic Bronchitis. The doctor said that it was a good thing that I brought my daughter into the hospital because if I were to waited out, my daughter would of had bronchitis which can lead up to pneumonia. The doctor said that my daughter needed a steroid medication to get my daughter by for the night until I take my daughter's prescription to our pharmacy. The doctor ordered that my daughter needs to do breathing treatment for her illness to go away. The steroid medication is giving to my daughter, but my daughter spits it all out (The Nurse Did Tell Me That The Steroid Medication Tastes Nasty). After we get discharge, we go home & try to get some rest. The next morning I take my daughter's prescription in to our pharmacy. Within hours later I'm able to pick up my daughter's medicine, I go home & I have my daughter start her breathing treatment. The doctor did tell me that my daughter has to do her breathing treatment for 30 days. I hope my daughter gets better soon so she can be back to her old self.

Has anyone dealt with this before??? If so, can you please give out some advice???
