Question

What does it exactly men when people are constantly saying a man wants to have his cake and eat it too? 
I’m a grown woman with kids but to me it means he wants his freedom but also wants sex?? Like not fully involved or spending time with you committed. Is that true?? Or are there other meanings too?

I think it's that they want a steady emotional relationship AND have sex with other women.

I've never heard that saying applied like that. It's basically saying you can't get everything you want.

I guess it can have different meanings and apply in different circumstances or have different meanings for different people. 
When I’m thinking 🤔 if it right now I’m thinking of a bachelor type man that maybe has kids that are grown and or live with their mom but he’s not too involved or doesn’t talk about them much, when he does everything is great they are excelling etc. he’s all about his work and being successful but with you and says he loves kids and being a dad maybe even says he wouldn’t mind having more someday. 
However he likes his freedom and to work all the time and come and go when he wants granted say you two aren’t married and living together but he seems to want u but he’s own life too seems a bit closed off. 
Anyways this is what I think 🤔 based on my experience, tell me what u think! ?

Every time I’ve heard it they are referring to a man who cheats. 
Because he has a good woman or partner but still wants to go out and mess with other women.
