My MIL couldn’t pronounce my daughter’s name

Ao my daughter is 7 months and we named her Amelia. Since the first day until now my MIL still couldn’t pronounce my daughter’s name.

One time she came over and she had a nerve to ask me “isn’t she named Mary? Like in the bibble?” 😱😡 and I said “No, her name is Amelia (mind you, there is no Amelia in the bibble)”. And she said I’ve been telling people her name is Mary”. But the worst part is she doesn’t even want to try to remember her one and ONLY grandchild.

So she’s still call my daughter Mary until this day. My SO didn’t know that his mom can’t pronounce our baby’s name so I called it out. I said (tried to be humor) “Hunnie, your mom doesn’t know our daughter’s name” and my SO tried to help her to say “Amelia” and guess what? She said “Forget it..I don’t know her name” and she left. 🙄🙄🙄
