Tween mom advice needed 😭

My son is going through this tween attitude phase right now and I seriously can't stand him right now, he has an attitude about everything. A smart ass answer for everything. He's never really been like that and I KNOW the kid he's been hanging out with has influenced him in a way.. But anyway, this morning I got so mad at the way he was talking to me I threw his lunch bag and told him I'm so tired of his crap and I can't stand him... I hate being mean to my kids but omg I really can't right now.. And now I feel guilty as hell. He's going to hate me more after today. He's my oldest so I haven't been through this before.. But it's been going on for a few weeks now and idk how to get out of that attitude/yelling cycle we've started.. I love him so much but idk how to not lose my shit. Any advice? We've always been super close and I just miss my baby boy 😢

He is 12 and in middle school
