I don't think it's a red flag. You'll start looking for jobs and be recruited by companies as you get closer to graduation. It may take you in different directions easily. He may be uncertain about making further commitments when both of your futures are uncertain.

He told you he is unsure about these things, yes? Because if he honestly doesn't know, there isn't much to talk about. I've been uncertain about a lot of things and talking about them doesn't help. It just made me feeling incredibly sad, that I honestly didn't know what I wanted.
If you really don't know, then there isn't much to say.
But I will give, that it's a lot of things to be totally unsure about. So if it's literally everything that's unsure, it might be a red flag.

At that age, yeah it’s fine. I get you may want things to work out a lot but I feel approaching the subject of future plans is incredibly overwhelming in college. It was for me. I didn’t know what the heck I was gonna do post graduation & talking about definite plans only stressed me out more. Instead try to just tell him you want to try to make things work between you two no matter what direction life takes you after graduation.

I dont necessarily think it's a red flag, he might be avoiding it because its a topic that makes him anxious due to the uncertainty. Maybe try easing into it, rather than insisting. I know it must be driving you crazy not knowing how to plan your future, but I think maybe give him time to think about it himself or find out what he likes. I hope for the best!

Being that you are both juniors in college, I think it’s normal to not know what you want to do with your entire life. He may be anxious about not knowing, which could lead him to want to avoid talking about it. It’s really hard to know for sure at that age because it’s a time of huge changes.
