GOOD NEWS!

Hi, everyone. I just wanted to share because I’ve already told 6 people, but I want to tell more people and I don’t have a random picture on my iPad to post on Instagram with a caption talking about what I wanna tell you. 😂

But, anyway, yesterday (November 21st) was the last day of school for Thanksgiving Break. I know, you’re probably like, why do you have the rest of the week off for one day. Well, I live in Miami, and in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, students get 3 days out of school, plus the weekend, so 5 days. I’m in 12th grade, btw.

Anyway, as a senior, sleep is extra important to me, so after school, I took my ass home and took a fat ass nap. 🤣 I went to sleep at 4 and didn’t wake up until 8. When I woke up, my mom was screaming out of her mind and calling my name and I was like, what the fuck is happening?

So I go in there and my mom’s like, “Jada, what did you say to me the other day and I said you haven’t been doing them?” And I had just woken up so I was hella confused.

And then she kept pushing until I remembered and then it hit me and I was like, “Job Applications?” And she goes, “Yes, Jada. And guess what?” And I was like, “What?” And then she showed me the text message that she got from the hiring manager of the job I applied to. The hiring manager called me in for an interview! 😍😍😍

So, on Saturday at 1pm (in eastern standard time) I have my first job interview with the hiring manager at Raw Juce!

Raw Juce (pronounced “juice”) is an organic juice bar. If you live somewhere other than Miami, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, or Weston here in Florida, you’ve probably never heard of it because those are the only stores they have. They sell organic açaí bowls, smoothies, salads, and other healthy stuff like that. They deliver, too, with Uber Eats, Postmates, and Delivery Dudes.

I’m super nervous, but I’m so excited too! If you anyone has a job interview tips for teenagers, feel free to give them to me cause it will help me immensely. I don’t think you know.

BTW, they have my mom’s phone number because my phone broke and I haven’t gotten a new one yet.

I’ll be sure to update you all on how it went and if I got the job.

Update #1: So, my job interview was today. It wasn’t as nerve wrecking as I thought it was gonna be. It was actually pretty good. They general manager who interviewed me sent my paperwork to HR (Human Resources) and HR is closed tomorrow so she should be getting back to me on Monday so she can call me in for a trial. They’re gonna see how good I am at what they do. I’ll let you know how it goes and if I get the job.
