Phantom Pregnancy

I just read the CRAZIEST story and it’s something I’ve never heard of before so I thought I’d share it.

So basically, this guy thought he met the love of his life. She ended up being pregnant 2 months later. She went to an ultrasound appointment, and said there was only 1 baby. A few weeks later, went to another appointment, found out they were having twins. Went to another appointment, and you guessed it, triplets. Went to ANOTHER appointment and said they were having quadruplets. When people found out, they sent the couple money and gifts and baby stuff galore! She had one final appointment a week or so before giving birth, and came home telling her boyfriend they found ANOTHER baby!!!!! QUINTUPLETS. She came home with ultrasounds every single time. Her uterus was swelling and she had a baby bump but it was no where near the size of a bump with 5 babies in it. She had morning sickness, and was producing milk. The day comes and she claims shes going into labor, so her boyfriend takes her to the hospital. They get her all strapped up and ready to, and do an ultrasound. They pulled the boyfriend out of the room and told him there were NO BABIES AT ALL. I’m guessing he never went to any of the “appointments” with her because he was probably working or something like that. But basically, she convinced herself so hard that she was pregnant to induce a “phantom pregnancy” to scam this guy for money. At the end, it said she had done this to another guy 3 years before. And also claimed she had leukemia, because she loved the money and attention she was getting. What a sick thing to do. Since this was not her first offense, medical personnel put her under mental surveillance.

This was sooooooo crazy to me, I’ve never even heard of anything like this. What do you guys think? Do you know anybody who would try to do this? I know people fake pregnancies all of the time but, to have their uterus swell and grow, and produce milk, and all the other symptoms?
