Good things for good people?

Do you ever feel like it doesn’t matter how hard you try at something and give it your all, how honest you try to be to others, giving when you almost have nothing yourself, and going out of your way to try to help someone, you’re stuck alone. No one talks crap behind my back because I don’t get into drama, yet I have had one friend over in the past few years. I always give and not because I want something back but because I hope the word will repay me one day. Yet now I sit here on a Saturday night with no friends and a lowest point in my life and I have to do it alone. What happened to the phrase good things happen to good people?
