When to tell parents?

I’m a freshman in college and just started dating someone. It all kind of happened fast so my parents never knew I was even talking to a guy. I’m pretty open with my mom about this kind of stuff and I am going home for winter break in a couple of days. Should I tell her I am dating someone even though it has only been a week or should I wait a little longer? Also me and my boyfriend clarified and we both are on the same page that we are dating exclusively. Help please!!
