First appointment

So my first appointment is Monday they called to verify and said they are only doing labs. I really want an ultrasound because me and my husband were planning on announcing at Christmas with it. I feel like if I don’t have an ultrasound picture whats the point in announcing. Should I ask to have one done or leave it be till my appointment in January? Our families only get together at Christmas and thanksgiving by that time next year the baby will be here.
