Car Seat Question UPDATE

I’m posting this anonymously because it’s so embarrassing to even have to ask.

I still have the travel system from my 2 year old. It was a $400 set that we intended to use for more than one baby. I stored the infant seat in the garage & somehow it must’ve molded a little. I didn’t notice until after I washed it. There are little spots on parts of the seat fabric.

Is there a way to truly clean it? Or do I go with my gut & just chuck it?

We’re super broke with me out of work due to this pregnancy & Christmas right around the corner, plus just general bills & a 2 year old.

Still have to buy the smaller necessities for baby since we have most of the big ticket items from our first & was hoping to be able to use this. 😭

Update: It’s the Graco Snugride 35 LX. All of the fabric comes off so you are able to throw it in the wash. I have washed it with my first child & just recently did again & that’s when I noticed some small spots where baby would be laying. I wasn’t sure about the mold getting baby sick & really don’t want to risk it.

Never thought about the safety honestly. 🤔 There is no problem with the plastic or straps. It’s essentially a new seat, used for only one year. Will have to ask about that.

I will definitely check out buying new fabric or we will probably have to buy a new one. Just doesn’t feel right. Thanks for your input ladies!
