Should I be offended?

Hi guys,

My boyfriend of 3 years got me a pair of shoes for Christmas. I put them on and he asked how they fit. I said they’re snug at the heel (I meant toes). He immediately says “that’s because you have fat ankles”. I get quiet. He clearly sees something is wrong so when he continually asks... I said the comment hurt my feelings bc it’s an insecurity of mine. He apologized, but also says “see now you’re gonna make me uncomfortable during this movie because your energy is off”. I told him how can I hide that he hurt my feelings...

This may not be a big deal to most people but it is to me. He’s also called me insecure in the past. Clearly... you’re making me insecure by making comments like this.

I’m sad... it’s Christmas Day. Anyway, just needed to vent. Thanks guys.
