He texted me "merry christmassorry I disappointed you"

I've been dating a guy for about a month and have been on four dates . Hes canceled the fifth date three times in a row, the first time he got called into work which was understandable , the second time I was supposed to go to his house to watch a movie but it turned out his mom was home. I asked him if he wanted to go out instead and he said he couldn't afford it because he had just gonr Christmas shopping . Then the third time we wese supposed to meet up and he said he was still stuck in line at the mall and didn't want to keep me waiting .

I didn't respond to his cancelling text and that was two days ago. Today he texted "merry Christmas". I didn't respond for seven hours then said "thanks you to". He responded and said "sorry for disappointing you..." I just responded "what lol"

I don't know what to make of him apologizing and not sure whether to give him one last chance or just stop replying .
